Protection Respirator standards introduction

Currently it performs two major international standards that the United States and European standards, China has just new respirator standard promulgated, mainly with reference to the American standard.

 

American Standard (NIOSH standard)

Developed by the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (I.e. NIO SH). It masks the standards are divided into three categories: N, R, P. Representing different protection objects: N non-oily particles, R, P, compared with oily particles, but R-rated protective effect of oily particles must not exceed eight hours, while P level no such restrictions, these three categories, there are three filtration efficiency standard: 95 (95%), 99 (99%), 100 (99.97%), thus a total of nine kinds of standard masks. Since the biological particles are mostly non-oily particles, and therefore N 95 is one of the most basic level, it represents a non-oily protective particles 85L / m i n under flow filtration efficiency up to 95%.

 

European Standard (EN149: 2001)

Europe respirator standard three levels: FFP1, FFP2, FFP3. US standard except that it uses the detected flow 95L / m i n, with D O P oil dust.

 

China Standard G B19083-2003

Principles used by the US standard. But using only one level of standard that is N 95, N aCl non-oily aerosol particles using a flow rate of 85L / min, the mean particle size 0. 26μ, particle count 0. 07μ, filtration efficiency to meet the requirements of 95% of the airflow resistance is not greater than 35m m water column.

 

Bacterial filtration efficiency BFE (Bacterial Filtration Efficiency)

Some masks marked BFE95%, it is the test method described in U.S. N el son laboratory access is 3.0 microns in 32LPM flow of material for testing.

 

Test Instrument Introduction

Whether it is the European standard or American standards, are designated by the United States to detect TSI-8130 Automated FilterTesters instrument. American Standard N class with NaCl method, class R with DOP method DOP method with European standards.

 

TSI-8130 instrument with NaCl method: The instrument can automatically produce salt particles, the average particle diameter of 0. 2μm (aggregate average diameter of 0. 26μm, arithmetic mean diameter 0. 07μm) by setting a certain flow through the sample in the instrument automatically print out the flow resistance, permeability.

 

DOP method using DOP oil dust, DOP particle diameter of aggregate average particle size 0. 33μm, the average diameter of the count 0. 20μm.
